Offline mode for expense claims and expenses
Hi Dext team,
I would like to suggest a few improvements based on real field usage.
Many users complete expense reports during “dead time” such as flights, trains, airports, hotels, or areas with unstable internet access. It would therefore be extremely useful to have a true offline mode allowing users to:
- access existing reports,
- create/edit expenses,
- attach receipts,
- and synchronize everything automatically once back online.
Expense reporting is already time-consuming, so being able to optimize these moments would significantly improve the user experience.
A few additional ideas:
- easier multi-day trip grouping,
- smarter mileage detection,
- automatic duplicate receipt detection,
- better support for toll grouping,
- more flexible currency handling,
- faster mobile app responsiveness,
- and simpler UI navigation with fewer clicks.
I previously used SAP Concur and was moved to Dext. I understand the platform may offer advantages, but currently I personally spend significantly more time processing expenses than before.
I hope this feedback helps, because there is strong potential if the workflow becomes smoother and more intelligent.
