Selective bank feed access for users
It would be very useful if there was an option to select which bank account feeds users have access to. Dext automatically syncs the bank accounts from Xero and there is no way to hide those which means users can see all this information although they only need access to specific bank account feeds.

Merging duplicate invoices and receipts
Several software providers issue both an invoice and a receipt for the same cost. The documents are identical apart from being labelled either 'invoice' or 'receipt.' Can these be automatically merged since they are duplicates?

Per-User Visibility Controls for Expense Documents
It should be possible to specify which other users' documents a given user can view/manage (as opposed to the current "all or nothing" setup).
Let me give you a concrete example. Let’s say I have the following users in my Dext account:
- Payables – Department A
- Payables – Department B
- Payables – Administration
- User 1 – Director of Department A
- User 2 – Director of Department B
- User 3 – Accounting Technician
- User 4 – Administrative AssistantI’d like the permissions to be as follows:
- User 1: can submit/view their own expenses plus…

Select Columns to show in Approval Tab
Would be great to be able to add additional columns on the Approvals Tab - similar to what is available on the 'Inbox' tab. Would make reviewing correct allocations of costs much quicker.

Bank transactions sub-account filter
We have a series of credit cards fed through one bank feed into Dext.
At the moment I can organise/ sort the bank feed list of transactions by sub-account but I cannot filter the list by sub-account (so that I only see transactions linked to a specific credit card). This means users need to scroll though a list of tens of transactions to find the ones linked to their card. It would be great if a sub-account filter could be added.8 votes -
Option to add a note when dismissing paperwork request
When requesting paperwork to the mobile app in Dext for the unreconciled transactions, it would be a really useful tool to give the client the opportunity to add a note or a reason as to why they are dismissing the paperwork request for a specific transaction. I think it should be the option of "dismiss" and then "provide a reason" for this so we know why they have dismissed this and reconcile in Xero with that explanation as it gives us more confidence that the client has reviewed the transaction and can provide a reason as to why it has…

Admin publishing adjustments/Closing Dates
When month end or year end is closed in Quickbooks, Dext will still override the bill date of anything in process. Would be amazing to have either a close out lock for anything prior to that closing date (and ability to change the invoice date to the current period) or the ability to have an admin priviledge granted to change the date/description with a note to adjust this.
Currently we need to take an approved invoice out of approvals, edit the date, leave a note about why we edited the date, re-send it for approval, and then go approve it…

Ability to have more than 1 person in a workflow
We have more than 1 person and a lot of handing over in our processes rather than 1 person doing the work and 1 person reviewing it. We have people doing different parts of the process but we would like it if we could have them on the same workflow. It would be good to be able to send a workflow for review without having all the checks done.

Advanced Search to include searching by line item
It would be very helpful if the Advanced Search feature included the ability to search by line items. In my case, it would be helpful to search by class when a cost has multiple line items allocated to different classes.

Missing Electric Mileage Rates
In the mileage feature to claim back Government official rates - you are missing the second rate for company cars that are electric. Home charging is 0.07p, but from a public charger it is 0.14p. Can you update your software to show this.

Automatically add invoice number to descriptions
It would be great if you could add support for dynamic field tokens in the description field — so it can automatically pull in details like the invoice number (e.g., {{InvoiceNumber}}).
We’re a construction company working on a cost-plus basis. We attach all cost invoices to the client’s invoice and include each invoice number in the description to make things easier for clients to follow.

Advanced Search - partial characters
Search function in Archive be improved to show results with the partial characters of the data being searched. For example, I was searching "13295" but there was no results because the exact reference number was "00013295"

Amazon API portal not fetching the correct invoice format
The Amazon Business (UK) API is automatically fetching my purchases, but it's inconsistent whether it fetches the invoice (correct behaviour) or the purchase order (incorrect behaviour). Please make it consistently fetch the VAT invoice.

Supplier statement does not recognize credit memos/invoices
Love the supplier statement but it never matches my credit invoices despite them being in dext. It is searching for the positive value and not the credit value even if the statement shows them as a credit amount.

Prevent accidental selection of Sales Inbox on app
The Sales button is right next to the Camera button on the App. So it is very easy to accidentally tap that button instead of the Camera button, which then sends all subsequent scans to the Sales Inbox when they were intended for the Costs Inbox. While there is a way to move the items to the correct Inbox, there seems to be no way to trigger Dext to re-extract the fields using the Supplier rules.
How about asking for confirmation when switching Inboxes?

Duplicate review including original document history
On the duplicate review screen we can see the two invoices, but now that approvals are available in Dext, there is no way for the reviewer to see if the original was rejected and what the rejection reason was to ensure whatever criteria was fixed. If for instance, an invoice was rejected because it was missing information or a PO number, there is currently no flag on that review page to indicate that the original was rejected so when it is confirmed that it is the same invoice, the new submission is also now attached and automatically archived and never…

Exporting Document History into QBO with Invoice
Currently, documents coming from Dext to QBO once published only include the invoice itself. It would be helpful if Dext could also capture the document's history as an additional page that effectively captures the "audit trail" for that document within the QBO pdf. It could include the Notes that were tagged to that invoice along the approval process as well.

Supplier Statement Extraction monthly usage (client block)
I'm so frustrated right now.
One of my clients uploaded a bunch of costs, then moved them to supplier statements. That used a whole bunch of my supplier statement credits (the ones that are limited and pooled across all my clients) because it automatically extracted them (when they aren't even supplier statements!) and now I have to individually download each one and upload it back to costs because you can't just send them back.I want two things
1. Block clients from being able to use my credits (so no extraction without my approval)
2. The ability to move supplier…1 vote -
Whatsapp - multiple entities
When submitting through whatsapp you get one dext chat to submit to. However if you run multiple businesses it is impossible to submit them all in the same chat. Dext needs a separate chat per business!
