We started using Dext a few months ago, transitioning from Expensify & Hubdoc.
Our bookkeeper recommended the switch to unify all of our bookkeeping communication in one solution. But we've found the switch to be more frustrating than beneficial.
In particular we understand that the paperwork requests feature was added to Dext last year, and we find it VERY unhelpful.
1) the notifications are only visible in the phone app... but responding to those requests in the phone app is rarely possible since the only mechanism provided is via the Camera, which is meaningless when most receipts we need to provide are from some website.
So we have to go to the computer to upload the receipts, but still have to use our phone to see the notifications. Plus, the notification doesn't automatically clear when the matching receipt is uploaded. So it leads to duplicates being uploaded sometimes.
The feature request is to at the very least make the notifications visible in the Browser... and those notications should be visible to the administrator(s) as well as the specific person to whom the request was made.
