For clients who bill on a time-and-materials basis, it would be helpful to have the ability to customize the Item ID or the exported PDF filename.
Our typical workflow involves publishing receipts from Dext to QuickBooks Online, marking them as billable, and then attaching the supporting receipts to customer invoices. When customers request backup documentation, we bulk export the receipts. Currently, each PDF is identified by a system-generated numeric Item ID, making it difficult for customers to match receipts to the corresponding charges on their invoice or supporting reports.
It would be much more useful if the PDF filename (or Item ID) could be customized to display information such as:
Vendor Name – Date – Total Amount
For example:
Home Depot – 07/15/2026 – $247.83.pdf
Customers could identify and reconcile receiptseaily without manually renaming every exported file.
