I think it would be extremely helpful there was a "add document" option to an existing receipts / cost invoice . If we as the reviewers of expenses could add a document with the simple click of a button - we would avoid having to merge documents losing traceability of who uploaded and approved the original.
This would allow the reviewer to add more detailes / detailed receipt / approval if it was done outside of dext/ packing slip or wtv it may be!
