The messaging system appears less effective if users can only communicate through the mobile app and not from both the Desktop and Mobile versions at any time. Restricting communication to just the mobile app complicates the process for clients, as we would need to download the message, send it via email, and wait for a response, all outside of the Dext Prepare system.
