employee expense categorization limits
To improve employee experience for expense submission and reports it would be great if we could adjust settings so that they could see either limited categories for expenses or none at all - same with classes. I do not expect our employees to know our finance classes and it is a time consuming experience for them to scroll through the entire chart of accounts looking for 'meals' or such. I instruct them not to bother categorizing, as between Dext and the finance team we got it, but they still email asking what category to select out of the long list for a certain expense. they can add notes, customer and rebillable or not - but the more we ask the less often they just click in their expenses in the field etc.
Thanks!

When using mobile, I am almost exclusively using 2 or 3 categories because it is for receipts that I don’t have a digital copy of. (Restaurant, gas). If the drop down options for categorization were limited it would hugely speed up the process rather than having to search for the right category. But in the desktop program I still need the full gamut, but they’re easier to type for or see a longer menu of options.

Setting up the category list to be specific for certain users.

We have over 30 categories in our general expenses, but of the paper receipts we enter with the mobile app, we only ever use 2-3 categories (meals&entertainment, fuel, office supplies). Everything else gets uploaded digitally and we handle it on the desktop version. It would be nice if you could customize the categories that the app uses, either by limiting what pops up or changing the order. This would save a lot of time.
