More edit options in approvals
Currently you cannot edit VAT rates and classes in the approvals section. Therefore if these need updating, you have to reject the invoice and send it back to the inbox to adjust, which is very time consuming. It would be great if there were the options to edit more categories in the approvals section.

When selecting what information is able to be edited at the approver level, it would be very helpful to be able to toggle on the ability to have approvers edit the 'Class' field in QBO. I see many other fields able to be edited by approvers after the fact, but adding 'Class' to that list would just be another option that we would utilize rather than having to send the document back to the start of the process for re-entry and re-approval through all of the previous channels.

Agreed as the administrator it would be great to be able to edit without requiring a reapproval. Specifically, for tax columns since the submitter and approver might not be well-versed in taxes that can be claimed. But even cost totals since I find they will occasionally make a typo that I want to change but don't need to send back to them.

We’d like to enable the Approvers to amend the cost code from their Approval screen as it would streamline the AP process. Currently the Cost Code is a field that can't be set to be editable.

The customised project code should be included in the edit options within approvals, as this would improve the process and reduce administrative time.

Currently approvers cannot edit the "Tracking Categories" when approving bills, it would be great if they can assign the cost to the correct service/ job number.

Definitely need to edit VAT, this is a key reason this Approval stage would be useful for us. We are using it as a review stage between client entered data and final approvals/Xero.

When configuring approval workflows, you can only enable editing for the standard item detail fields shown in your screenshot. Job Tracking and Plant and Equipment are specialized fields that may not be available for editing control within the approval workflow settings. xero tracking categories are missing in the editable items

Agree that megans request in a need and must be changed- if the end approver has to unapprove this is a lengthy process the senior approver should eb able to edit the invoice immediately and publish.

When creating a workflow and the stages of approval we can chose what the users can edit however it is missing some of very important features like "Tracking Categories".
If we could add the tracking categories within the option to allow the user to edit please, it would be beneficial.
Thank you.

Yes, with the option to change the date after the period gets locked so I don't have to send back to inbox and back for approval again!

At the moment, the tax rules and amounts cannot be edited once an employee has submitted their expenses into a workflow. This means that for receipts to be submitted correctly all employees need to be well-versed in GST/PST eligibility and the 50% GST reclaim for public bodies, which is not realistic. Being able to edit the tax amounts during the approval workflows is vital to make the product useable for our organisation.

Agreed. At the very least allow the ability to add the administrator as a 2nd approver in the workflow settings. It doesn't make sense that I can add one of my employees to be an approver but can't add myself.

LOVE the new "can edit?" options on approval workflows. BUT. They're incomplete :)
I want the ability for an approver to EDIT the tax type and amount.
We work in an industry that receives a 50% rebate on tax paid to a government entity. This affects 10 of our clients. Those submitting expenses rarely get this calc correct and I'd love the ability to edit instead of rejecting an approval request. Thanks! -

This has just been raised by an approver as an issue as they are having to reject 60% of invoices to make minor changes.
An option to amend the columns in the Approval screen would also be a big timesaver to quickly scan the coding, especially VAT codes. -

We should be able to edit everything on the document during the approval process, just like you can when the document is in the inbox. Right now you can only edit the Category, but would be helpfull to edit the Product/services line as well. Being able to edit the taxes, invoice amount, invoice received date, etc need to be a feature

In addition to what's already been suggested, the ability for an approver to edit the PO matching would be good - we have a contractor who doesn't always add the PO number so being able to have an approver who raises the initial PO be able to manual add/edit these as an approval step would be helpful.

To have the ability to split the VAT.
Quite often we have invoices that are split between 20% VAT, 5% Vat and Exempt on them. Unfortunately, DEXT does not give this option!
