Push notification on the app or an email to the client as a gentle 'nudge' to upload any documents for the month/quarter. the accountant to be able to adjust the cadence and trigger for sending this nudge. e.g. at the end of each MTD quarter, or at the end of each week. if bank account is connected via bank feed and there are transactions missing, to (optionally) send a reminder to client for these specific transactions (though this may be a bit tricker to implement).

or at a very basic level, a standard push notification/email reminder at the end of each quarter (the wording can be adjusted by the accountant, but default text can be provided by dext) saying 'make sure you upload any documents for the quarterly period from 01/04/26 to 30/06/26 by 10/07/26 for your UK property income/Self Employment'. these reminders should be centrally controlled at practice level (on/off/cadence) and granular settings at the client level

and a button somewhere in the app for the client to click to tell the accountant that they have finished uploading everything they needed to for the quarter, so we know that we can start our review and preparation process.
