  1. It would be great if you could add support for dynamic field tokens in the description field — so it can automatically pull in details like the invoice number (e.g., {{InvoiceNumber}}).

    We’re a construction company working on a cost-plus basis. We attach all cost invoices to the client’s invoice and include each invoice number in the description to make things easier for clients to follow.

  2. After trialling our first payment run, we noticed Payments does not allow for partially paid invoices to be included. These could have overpayments assigned to them or even just credit notes.

    It should be possible to include partially paid invoices by including only the outstanding balance. For security, when these are added to the payment runs, it should come with a warning; even when approvers are checking the runs it should require their sign-off prior to complete approval.

    We currently support the inclusion of partially paid invoices. Support for applying unallocated balances such as credit notes, prepayments, and overpayments to invoices will be available soon.

  3. Search function in Archive be improved to show results with the partial characters of the data being searched. For example, I was searching "13295" but there was no results because the exact reference number was "00013295"

  5. I want to be able to publish each cost from an employee's expense claim separately to QBO because I want to record "Locations" and the date of each cost in QBO. The "Location" information is important for internal reporting, but the date of each cost is critical for accurate Canada Revenue Agency GST quarterly reporting.

  7. On the main screen, you can enable the display of Notes/Messages which gives you an icon on the far right if you have recorded a note or sent a message to a client. My suggestion would be that the message icon changes (or changes colour) to indicate whether the message has been read and a different icon (or colour) if a reply has been posted. Much like WhatsApp and any other messaging interface really.

I think the wording for your notification email which is sent to the account owner when a new user is added, should be changed...it is confusing - it suggests that the 'email-in' address should be changed by the owner....It should be a more simplified email that says a new user has been added to your Dext account, if you did not instruct this then please contact us now. If this was you, please ignore. If you wish to pass these details onto your new user, here are their email-in details.

  9. It would be good if the client could have the option to choose a date from when they would like the bank feed to start. When a client starts part year or first year it can take quite a while to scroll down and bulk edit transactions not needed or from previous year and if a clients bank feed gets disconnected, where they have to start a brand new connection, this has to be categorised as duplicates or will still show as to review in the reports section.

  10. While removing invoices not bulked together with other invoices for the same supplier, it would be beneficial to have the ability to remove individual invoices from these bulks while keeping the other invoices on the payment run. This would reduce the need to create other payment runs and reduce time spent on another approvals process.

  11. Add a column to the transaction summary download in Dext Solo that displays the property each transaction is assigned to. This would make it easier to identify any income or expenses that have not been allocated to a specific property.

  12. With secondary tax extraction enabled, two tax lines are present if the document is in home currency. When the currency is switched to foreign currency, that option disappears. There are many vendors that invoice in USD but charge Canadian taxes and we still need the two tax lines on foreign currency documents.

  13. I'm so frustrated right now.
    One of my clients uploaded a bunch of costs, then moved them to supplier statements. That used a whole bunch of my supplier statement credits (the ones that are limited and pooled across all my clients) because it automatically extracted them (when they aren't even supplier statements!) and now I have to individually download each one and upload it back to costs because you can't just send them back.

    I want two things
    1. Block clients from being able to use my credits (so no extraction without my approval)
    2. The ability to move supplier…

  15. Love the supplier statement but it never matches my credit invoices despite them being in dext. It is searching for the positive value and not the credit value even if the statement shows them as a credit amount.

  16. The Prepaid Expense feature is fantastic but there is one detail I would like to be able to change i.e. the date of the Prepayment Release journals. It would be great to have the option to have the date of these journals the same day of the month as the Prepayment Recognition journal. Currently the Prepayment Release journals are created on the last day of the month which is not ideal for running mid-month reports.

  17. I would like to have the ability to set an AI Assist rule to have the AI Agent read the emails which are sent in to Dext with Invoices attached to pick up on specific key words which will either flag that invoice for being reviewed and processing differently or to push it to a separate automated workflow.

    Worked example:
    A client which has in-kind sponsorship agreements regularly received invoices for goods and services provided as a donation to the business in exchange for advertising at the business and other perks. The invoices provided for these services commonly do not…

  18. When an emails document fails to be imported into dext, for what ever reason the image name is included which is a little helpful. Users will generally be looking for the subject of the email they sent rather then the image name that was attached or the name of the file that dext assigned. Searching for an email subject is the easy way to search for the failed document.

    Please include the subject of the email that was sent that resulted in the "Unsuccessful document upload"

  19. Like an extra button in a column (similar to the healthscore button) that says number of open and active workflows. Ideally hyperlinked to take you through to the workflows section within the client. Would increase visibility on the client list dashboard. Requested by Tasnia

  20. Currently, documents coming from Dext to QBO once published only include the invoice itself. It would be helpful if Dext could also capture the document's history as an additional page that effectively captures the "audit trail" for that document within the QBO pdf. It could include the Notes that were tagged to that invoice along the approval process as well.
