  1. In the current Statement Reconciliation feature, Dext matches invoices from the supplier statement with invoices pulled from Xero. While it checks for missing or unmatched invoices, it does not compare the invoice amount from the statement against the actual amount of the corresponding invoice in Xero (shown in the "Due" column).

    This becomes a challenge when there's a variance in the amounts—for example:

    - A revised invoice was issued by the supplier, but the statement reflects the old amount.
    
    - The invoice in Xero shows $1,100, but the statement lists $1,000 (or vice versa).

  2. Category & location should be pre-filled based on selected category/location from the initial review page prior to selecting "Extract line items". This will allow you to pick the category/location that applies to most/all line items. This feature exists already when pre-selecting category/location prior to selecting "create line items".

  3. HMRC MTD for IT allows you to change the financial year from 6 April - 5 April, to 1 April - 31 March. As per HMRC, you opt for one or the other, and then it remains that way. Yet in Dext Solo, you cannot change this financial year. The only option given is 6 April - 5 April. Please allow Solo to change the year just as HMRC allows you to change the year. Solo should reflect that option too.

  4. It would be very helpful for reviewing an expense claim if we could select the fields we would like to see when reviewing. This is available for regular expenses but should be extended to expense claims. I have to open each expense to see the taxes/tax code and the customer assigned to each receipt.

  5. when doing line items and smart split rules I am doing the same splits over and over on different transactions. It would be great to be able to make some presets for line items so i can just click one thing in rather than having to repeat the same 30 clicks over and over again.

  6. It would be useful if water bills could have the description automatically read as the date of supply such as if an invoice was for 15/08/25 to 14/09/25 it would automatically put this on the description, rather than just water rates

  8. It would be beneficial to be able to set separate smart rules for alias suppliers [eg: main phone with Telstra is 100% business, 2nd phone is also Telstra but 70% business & 30% personal]

  10. When moving an item from the costs inbox to Vault, folders in Vault are sorted chronologically based on creation date. For ease of use, this should default to alphabetical.

  12. We have approval pathways that, for certain specific suppliers, goes to one person then to a second approver. Generally all other suppliers go to the second authoriser straight away.

    If there are invoices that have been first authorised, waiting on the second authoriser, and I add a new supplier into the approval pathway for the double approval process, any invoice that has been previously authorised by person number 1 and not number 2, goes back to the inbox and has to be sent for person number 1 to authorise again.

  13. Bills can only be split one at a time by indicating the new category, total amount, and tax amount. However some of the suppliers will provide a list of bills in one document, which requires multiple splits, and invoice number updates. It would be great to include an option to add additional splits to the initial bill with an add button on the split screen, as well as the option to update the bill number to remove the need to update it afterwards.

  14. Let me hide some of the tax codes. So my team only sees the ones they need. Right now they see a lot that they don't need but my finance team does outside of Dext.

  15. Once items are approved, allow the 'clear publishing data' option. Otherwise, for errors that need to be corrected, the item needs to be rejected and then re-approved.

  18. I like that Dext can extract a PO number, but sometimes they aren't always numbers. Can you make this a more open field?

    Also, now that you have the extracted PO number, this function doesn't work if you merge items. I merge our sales order confirmation with our invoices once recieved. However, I loose the purchase order function when this happens.

  20. In 'Lists' >> 'Payment Methods', customers can specify 'Name', 'Reference', 'Auto-Publish', 'Publish to' and 'Bank account'.

    On the item 'Details' >> 'Add payment method', customers can only specify the 'Name', 'Reference' and 'Bank account'.
