  1. It would be very useful if there was an option to select which bank account feeds users have access to. Dext automatically syncs the bank accounts from Xero and there is no way to hide those which means users can see all this information although they only need access to specific bank account feeds.

  2. Several software providers issue both an invoice and a receipt for the same cost. The documents are identical apart from being labelled either 'invoice' or 'receipt.' Can these be automatically merged since they are duplicates?

  3. When a QuickBooks Online (QBO) purchase order is matched with a bill in Dext, the link is successfully added back into QBO. However, none of the purchase order details are carried over into Dext.

    As a result, we still need to manually open the purchase order in QBO to confirm key information such as the associated customer/project and the product/service codes.

    It would be very helpful if Dext could pull in this information directly from the matched purchase order, since the link between the two already exists. This would streamline the review process and reduce the need for manual cross-referencing.

  4. Dext currently shows all QBO Projects regardless of status.

    There are 4 possible QBO project statuses:
    - not started
    - in progress
    - completed
    - cancelled

    Please show only not started and in progress Projects.

    There is no way to customize this selection on Dext right now and it is clunky to have to see all historical Projects from the selection list, not to mention increased risk of error for user submissions.

  5. It should be possible to specify which other users' documents a given user can view/manage (as opposed to the current "all or nothing" setup).

    Let me give you a concrete example. Let’s say I have the following users in my Dext account:
    - Payables – Department A
    - Payables – Department B
    - Payables – Administration
    - User 1 – Director of Department A
    - User 2 – Director of Department B
    - User 3 – Accounting Technician
    - User 4 – Administrative Assistant

    I’d like the permissions to be as follows:

  6. Would be great to be able to add additional columns on the Approvals Tab - similar to what is available on the 'Inbox' tab. Would make reviewing correct allocations of costs much quicker.

  7. We have a series of credit cards fed through one bank feed into Dext.
    At the moment I can organise/ sort the bank feed list of transactions by sub-account but I cannot filter the list by sub-account (so that I only see transactions linked to a specific credit card). This means users need to scroll though a list of tens of transactions to find the ones linked to their card. It would be great if a sub-account filter could be added.

When requesting paperwork to the mobile app in Dext for the unreconciled transactions, it would be a really useful tool to give the client the opportunity to add a note or a reason as to why they are dismissing the paperwork request for a specific transaction. I think it should be the option of "dismiss" and then "provide a reason" for this so we know why they have dismissed this and reconcile in Xero with that explanation as it gives us more confidence that the client has reviewed the transaction and can provide a reason as to why it has…

  9. When month end or year end is closed in Quickbooks, Dext will still override the bill date of anything in process. Would be amazing to have either a close out lock for anything prior to that closing date (and ability to change the invoice date to the current period) or the ability to have an admin priviledge granted to change the date/description with a note to adjust this.

    Currently we need to take an approved invoice out of approvals, edit the date, leave a note about why we edited the date, re-send it for approval, and then go approve it…

  11. On the mobile app, it would be very helpful to have two tabs for the "assigned to me" and the "all items" as you see on the web version. Currently there is nothing that easily shows who the next approver is in the mobile app. Additionally, notifications on the mobile app when new invoices need approved.

  12. The “Review Duplicates” feature is currently restricted to users with admin permissions. In cases where internal employees use Dext solely to manage their own expenses and are restricted from accessing wider company data, they are unable to review duplicates despite needing this functionality.
    It would be beneficial to either add “Review Duplicates” as a separate permission toggle, or include it within the standard user role permissions by default.

  13. For Dext Solo - there are a lot of bank transactions that does not show a match but there is a match . And there are a lot of false matches where the amount is the same but the supplier or date is different .
    Every single bank transaction where is no match has to be checked manually againts the cost items. Altough Dext algoritm recognises as a possible match and even the green ''Suggestion '' button shows it , it is not revelead on the main banking page , we need to click on the item and scroll through…

  14. Dext currently provides the ability to send reminder notifications to employees regarding outstanding credit card transactions and receipts. However, these reminders must be initiated manually and cannot be scheduled based on predefined filters or criteria.

    Recommendation:
    Introduce a workflow automation feature that enables administrators to schedule recurring reminder notifications (daily, weekly, fortnightly, or monthly) based on selected filter criteria, such as:

    Outstanding receipts.
    Missing documentation.
    Specific employees or departments.
    Transaction age thresholds.

    Benefits:

    Reduces manual administrative effort.
    Improves employee compliance with receipt submission requirements.
    Ensures timely collection of supporting documentation.

  15. At the moment Dext is mismatching a lot of bank transactions to the wrong receipts, making it unreliable. It often converts a different currency into pounds, and as long as the amount and date relatively match it matches the receipt - which can be from a completely different supplier. This misleads people into thinking they have supplied a receipt for a specific bank transactions when they haven't, rendering the matching feature unreliable.
    That's because currently bank matching works primarily with amount and timing. Could a supplier match be added please to ensure less errors are happening? Attached a few examples.…

  17. It would be good if the client could have the option to choose a date from when they would like the bank feed to start. When a client starts part year or first year it can take quite a while to scroll down and bulk edit transactions not needed or from previous year and if a clients bank feed gets disconnected, where they have to start a brand new connection, this has to be categorised as duplicates or will still show as to review in the reports section.

  18. Would be great to customise flags practice-wide for all clients. We want a standardised approach, especially for the apprentices. Great feature but would make more sense practice-wide than changing it on individual client basis

  19. We have more than 1 person and a lot of handing over in our processes rather than 1 person doing the work and 1 person reviewing it. We have people doing different parts of the process but we would like it if we could have them on the same workflow. It would be good to be able to send a workflow for review without having all the checks done.

  20. It would be great if we could add notes on Dext Solo to bank transactions, where there are no receipts, but the client has told us what they are. This would be great for our bookkeeping records.
