  1. I love the new approval feature and use this for many of my clients, however, they do not want to approve invoices that have already been paid (i.e. on Direct debits or already paid by credit card). At the moment, I can override and approve the invoices before the client but they still receive an email saying there is a bill to approve but when they login there is no bill there as I have already approved it. Is there a way around this without turning off notifications or can you build an exception to the approval workflow to overcome…

  2. Being able to edit the taxes on the screen. So often clients mix items on bills that could have many different tax rate and using the create line items adds soooooo much time on to process I hate using it. Especially food related bills as some foods have GST and PST, some only GST and some exempt.

  3. Please add the ability to change the data that imports to Quickbooks desktop from the description to the PO or the ability to automatically add the PO number in that description. This information is crucial for payment and accounting processes but currently needs to be manually added in every invoice.

  4. When you go into Approvals for the first time, there is a button to take you through to setting them up in Settings. But once you have something to approve, there is no longer a quick link to setting up more. Can we have a quick link button?

  6. Allow for mileage tracking to work for companies in Portugal. We don't need any calculations, just the basic functionality of identifying the car being used, who is driving, the reason for the trip, and the distance traveled.

  8. In the current Statement Reconciliation feature, Dext matches invoices from the supplier statement with invoices pulled from Xero. While it checks for missing or unmatched invoices, it does not compare the invoice amount from the statement against the actual amount of the corresponding invoice in Xero (shown in the "Due" column).

This becomes a challenge when there's a variance in the amounts—for example:

    - A revised invoice was issued by the supplier, but the statement reflects the old amount.

    - The invoice in Xero shows $1,100, but the statement lists $1,000 (or vice versa).

Currently, the system only shows the…

When will Dext Commerce be upgrading the Uber Eats integration to use Uber's official Reporting API and OAuth connection, which is Uber's secure, approved method for third-party apps?"

  10. Please can I request you add support for some new suppliers in Invoice Fetch?
I'd love to set up Invoice Fetch for:
    - Anthropic (AI company, supplier for my Claude subscription https://www.anthropic.com/ )
    - Elicit (AI research assistant https://elicit.com/ )
    Thank you!

  11. Sort Categories that do not have a code in order of:
    - Current assets
    - Long-term assets
    - Current liabilities
    - Long-term liabilities
    - Equity
    - Income
    - Cost of sales
    - Expenses
    - Other income
    - Other expenses
The gl is synced with QBO. My client will not add codes. I could be trying to code something to Interest and will have no idea whether the account that I'm looking at is interest income or interest expense without looking up in QuickBooks.

  12. In Multi-Coded Contacts, it only shows the total transaction amount, instead of the line item. There are often transactions that have a few cents coded as GST Free for rounding purposes (done by Dext Bookkeeping), but this flags the transaction as multi-coded. I have to go to Xero to see that it's only the one line item for a few cents that caused this.
Would prefer to see the line item amount in the workflow check. Even better if we could filter out transactions under a certain amount.

  14. Hi Dext,

can we please add line details / amounts into Cash Book layout of CSV when exporting Expense Claims? At the moment, this format takes only total amounts of receipts.
A number of our clients doesn't use software, so spreadsheet is used often. Workings with CSVs showing 3+ lines for receipts is not viable.

  15. Instead of simply putting the greyed out i symbol by sub-customers/projects, it would be helpful to be able to toggle off the Parent Customer name in the dropdown list. Despite the symbol, the Parent customer is routinely selected by users which leads to billable charges not getting onto invoices.

  16. Dear DEXT Team,
I hope this email finds you well. I am a regular DEXT user and really appreciate your service.
I would like to request a new feature: the ability to export receipts in the same order as bank transactions.
Currently, it would be very helpful if receipts could be exported sequentially according to the bank transaction order. This would make reconciliation and accounting processes much more streamlined and efficient.
Thank you for considering this feature request. I look forward to your response.
    Best regards,

  17. Category & location should be pre-filled based on selected category/location from the initial review page prior to selecting "Extract line items". This will allow you to pick the category/location that applies to most/all line items. This feature exists already when pre-selecting category/location prior to selecting "create line items".

  19. Could you consider adding a holding zone (a kind of "purgatory" area) within the Supplier Statements section for incoming statements to be reviewed before extraction or archiving?

They could then facilitate the use of a dedicated email address (e.g., company@statementholdingzone.dext.cc) for receiving supplier statements. From this holding area, the accountant could then choose to:
    • Send to archive – for simple statements such as single-payment summaries, or
    • Send for extraction – for multi-invoice statements that need matching.

This would not only improve workflow and accuracy but also address the issue of statement email allocation and the additional processing…

  20. Is it possible to categorise users within an account by hierarchy or priority? When requesting paperwork, it would be really useful if Dext automatically selected the primary contact (for example, the main client) by default.

Currently, the system seems to classify contacts alphabetically or by username, which can result in the wrong person being selected when multiple users are linked to the same account. Being able to mark one user as the default recipient for paperwork requests would help avoid accidental sends and improve accuracy.
