    Thanks for your feedback. We will look at options for how we might either provide a payment date field of improve the way that payment date is populated in Xero to make this more convenient.     I agree with the suggestion above.
    Only thing I would suggest differently is to have custom paid date option instead of Today. It will allow us to choose the correct date (if it is other than invoice date or due date)

    When posting an invoice as paid from relevant bank account. Currently, the payment date is assumed/posted as invoice date. Instead it should be the due date as set up for that supplier. Or let us choose the date for actual payment.
    Otherwise this feature is only useful for same day payment.
