Supplier Aliases

Most of my clients have been with me for years and previous accouting softwares. As a result the suppliers within their Xero account are named differently to how Receipt Bank picks them up. It would be a lot of trouble for me to go through and merge/rename all of the suppliers in each client. Some of my clients also use generic suppliers such as 'Fuel' and 'Cafe'. I'd like to be able to set up a list of aliases for my suppliers, and have merging of suppliers automatically add the merged supplier names to this list

    Quicken has an excellent vendor Naming Rules and it would be tremendously helpful to have a similar feature in DEXT!
    When DEXT picks up a certain Supplier name I would like to be able to map what it sees to what needs to be used!
    Example: DEXT is showing Shopify, I would like DEXT to memorize "when you see Shopify, use Shopify Fees (supplier name) instead." So many names picked up by DEXT are partially correct, a naming rule would expedite the constant human process of looking for the correct name.

    My client buys product from multiple branches each of which has a different name but the invoices are summarized on a specific name. I would love to be able to assign the common name to each of the branches. Eg Oakville Discount Auto, Brampton Discount Auto, etc are shown on HDAP Discount Auto statement. This also happens on many where the words in the name tend to be slightly different. For example: Home Depot vs The Home Depot, The Keg, vs Keg. It all depends on the names that were originally used for each of the suppliers.
    I am constantly merging suppliers to get rid of multiples.

    For example, instead of 40 gas station business names as suppliers, I could create a rule to rename to "gas stations" etc .

    I'd like to see a feature where you can create a rule for dext to automatically rename a supplier, for example. Dext picks up the supplier as "Spacex Canada Corp" but it is preferred that these get renamed to "Starlink" as the client has that set up as a vendor already. This would help lower the amount of duplicate vendors getting pushed through to QBO.
