  1. Try this on your sample accounts - Put Equipment Rentals and Meals and Entertainment in your category list. Now, try to enter a transaction by typing the word meals into the category bar. See what happens? Meals is not the first choice, even though it is spelled completely and 'ment' comes after 'meal' in the alphabetizing. I run into this scenario with several combinations constantly. Insurance is another one - 'fines' comes up first if I type 'ins'. This is clearly a problem in the search bar not alphabetizing correctly. It's frustrating because I'm constantly having to arrow down to…

  2. It would be nice to have the option to enter a due date for expense claims so that when we publish them as a Bill to QBO, the report date AND the due date will publish. Currently the publish date is both the bill date and the due date.

  5. View previous coding in Dextension for QBO - instead of being able to just see past coding for the supplier - it would be nice to apply the code to the expense we are working on as well - would save time and make that function a better flow tool

  7. On quickbooks online they have changed/modernised the Bill transaction.
    It seems like Dextension does not display the attached document anymore on the new layout.

    If this could be changed, it would be awesome because the automatic display of the attachment is the best feature of Dextension by far!

  8. On the approval screen where you have the line item breakdown to have unit price and quantity data visible to the reviewer to ensure the detail has been entered rather than just a quantity of 1 and the unit price being equal to the net invoice amount

  9. For mileage claims, would it be possible to pull through the car reg number for the pdf output created? A partner requested it as it would help with reconciliation and they would replace Tripcatcher with Dext

  11. Similar to the costs archive, it would be beneficial to have the option to archive documents (without deleting them), and to automatically archive older versions of a document. We would benefit from two immediate use-cases with this feature;
    1. Being able to maintain records from a supplier/client who is no longer current who we still require records for, and
    2. Enables iterations of documents with annual renewals (e.g. insurances) where a document can be replaced with a new version and the existing copy is archived.

  12. Be able to add users to the Dext account with Vault access only. We have an internal contract administrator who would be using Vault for managing contractor insurances etc, who doesn't need access to other parts of Dext.

  13. There is a new feature added to auto-fill the Description and Category based on a selected Product/Service. Can you make it an option to turn the auto-fill off? We have custom descriptions for all of our expenses, so it is very frustrating when the description gets over-written if the the Product/Service is selected AFTER typing in the Description.

  14. Since DEXT is all about the ease of uploading photos of receipts, I would like to request that photos of bank statements for the extraction tool be an option. I am currently having to print the photos the client has uploaded, scan them, and then upload the scanned documents for extraction. In doing this, the quality of the photo is lost, and then the document often gets rejected.

  15. I would love to see an option for auto-categorization that uses certain words from a bill.
    ie. when a subcontrator/vendor who charges mileage - the word "mileage" in his bill would then be used to categorize under travel, but when the same contractor bills "advertising" then auto categoriztion would pick this up as advertising&Promo category, etc. before auto-publishing

  17. I would like to suggest on the item details tab that you move the notification that there is a match higher up on the screen. It is out of view until I scroll down on the page. I generally work from the top to the bottom and it is frustrating when I see there is a match after populating the details. This would be really helpful I think

  18. Be able to set business year end in business settings as i.e. 31 March and be able to link to say those dates are what should be used for tax year 23/24 etc as can't change on SA301F summary report (and can't change dates unlike on transaction summary)

  19. When subscriptions are no longer in use under a multi-subscription organisation, there needs to be an option to hide inactive organisations from the drop down list. This would avoid confusion, and create a much more straight-forward display.
    At the moment, our default organisation is an inactive one, so every time we log in we have to select the correct organisation from the drop down list. There needs to be an option to select one org. as the default org. that opens every time you log in.

  20. We require insurance certificates of currency from the majority of our suppliers. It would be helpful if a file structure could be created for suppliers in Dext, based on the Suppliers List under Costs for these to be stored in.
