Additional field for payment date and supplier rule option
Would like to be able to have invoice date and payment date fields, as otherwise it defaults to invoice date and we have to change it every time in Xero. It would be also good to be able to set up in a Supplier rule or Account settings, whether you would like the Paid Date to default the Invoice Date, Due Date or Today's Date.

Good Morning, for sales invoices our client is requesting that the invoices should be posted by invoices date and other date is service Date.
Could you please add an extra line for invoices Service Date Thank you -

when you open an invoice to view the box at the very bottom says paid and payment method but there is no area to input the date it was paid as not everyone pays everything immediately so if the date of payment was available it would be easier to match and the company's accounts would reflect the payment more accurately

I agree with the suggestion above.
Only thing I would suggest differently is to have custom paid date option instead of Today. It will allow us to choose the correct date (if it is other than invoice date or due date) -

When posting an invoice as paid from relevant bank account. Currently, the payment date is assumed/posted as invoice date. Instead it should be the due date as set up for that supplier. Or let us choose the date for actual payment.
Otherwise this feature is only useful for same day payment. -

Date Invoiced Received Tab..... good for late invoices being processed
