Please add a toggle or setting to disable the automatic suggestion/addition of new payment methods. Sometimes receipts are read incorrectly and a new payment method is created. This creates a number of unused payment methods cluttering the list. Also, it's nice to be able to review these methods before adding (similar to the new vendor check).

Have a toggle or action under Payment methods to stop the extraction and creation of new payment methods. i.e. employee reimbursement receipts with their card information, etc.
This way we don't have to consistently have to go under payment methods and remove unwanted card numbers, etc.
This way only the Company payment methods we linked to our accounts and accounting software stay and nothing else is added unless we add it manually if required.

The last software we used didn't create new payment methods from employee card numbers or card numbers that aren't our company accounts and this made choosing our payment methods so much easier and faster.

Please add a setting option that forces Dext to stop extracting the last 4 digits of credit cards OR from automatically updating the payment method. You could simply ensure that the "Always use default" payment option consistently enforces the use of the default payment method (see attachment).

We have 50+ cardholders with monthly expense reports, and we have no need to see or know the credit card numbers. Each expense report cycle, we end up deleting 20+ new payment methods, which is silly and inefficient.

Disable Payment method extraction for certain suppliers or the account in general

Ability to turn off automated payment methods in Dext!

A lot of our client bank accounts in Dext are not linked to Xero (e.g. there might only be 5 accounts in Xero). But every time a new bank account is recognized it creates a new payment method in Dext. There's no use though in having 50+ payment fields in Dext when there's only a handful of bank accounts in Xero. And actively managing the payment methods in Dext isn't efficient.

Suggestion is that there's an option for a new payment method to be created. Or for the user to have the ability to turn off this setting.

This is applicable for most (if not all) our clients who have an extensive list of payment methods, but very few bank accounts comparatively. This means we need to sift through the payment method list when applying payments to invoices/ receipts.

I would like to be able to turn automatically generated payment methods off. I have set up all the payment methods for the file manually, and I don't need to delete a payment method every time dext automatically extracts one because a receipt is too blurry or difficult to read.
