This is a significant pain point in our workflow.

The main issue is that the OCR frequently misinterprets other numbers on a receipt (like loyalty card or invoice numbers) and incorrectly creates new payment methods. This results in a lot of administrative tidy-up to merge and delete these incorrect entries, which undermines the time-saving benefits of the platform. It also increases the risk of transactions being posted incorrectly.

While supplier rules are a helpful workaround, a more direct solution is needed. The ability to either disable the automatic creation of new payment methods or to simply require user approval before a new method is added would be a huge improvement. This would give us much better control and make the system far more efficient to use.

Yes please! For me the bigger issue for us is that Dext's OCR constantly adds incorrect payment methods. It misreads loyalty card numbers, ABNs, and other numbers as new credit cards, creating a new mess for us to clean up every few weeks. We desperately need a way to stop these incorrect additions at the source. The best solution would be a simple toggle switch in the settings to turn off automatic payment method creation altogether.

Currently in the iOS app, you only see the foreign amount from the receipt, when abroad, but often your Bank send a notification showing you the amount that was taken from your account in your local currency. As a result, you would be able to update the receipt to the correct home amount so that it matches correctly.
