  1. Hi. I often go through the supermarket receipts e.g. Tesco which don't have VAT breakdown on them. When the client buys cleaning products, it would be useful to have an option to open a small calculation spreadsheet to work out the VAT amount on those cleaning products. it would also be useful if one could save this with the original receipt as a record of how the VAT was worked out.

  3. If we need to enter an old date we can't just enter 01012024, we have to put in / which is frustrating as in QBO you can just enter the numbers so it's a habit already. Dext gives an error 'Use dd/mm/yy.' it would be useful to not have to add in the /

  5. It would be great if we could customize the details tab with a few of the fields. Product/service seems to be a reoccurring issue for my clients thinking they need to populate something here as it is on the details screen. So they add things like the word 'supplies' but it is not necessary. It would be great if we could remove it from the screen I do not use. thanks Jill Smith Saved by the Bookkeeper.

  7. Using the new version is there a way I can instantly see the assigned manager on the main Users page (maybe the ability to add a column for this) without going into each individual user? We used to be able to see this in the My Team page on the old version next to the user privileges.

  8. Our accounting company uses Dext and our staff are responsible for adjusting the fields. There should be a way for our accounting company to rename or flag the specific fields that they want us to double-check under Item Details. There are a lot of fields there and many of them don't pertain to us. I want some visual flag for our staff as to which ones we have to edit. Even just renaming "Category" to "Category >" would be beneficial. According to the AI chat bot, this isn't possible.

  10. We do not use Po #s, Product/Service or Customer details and would like the option to have them removed as it takes me longer to complete the fields we do use because these are all showing and are blank so it makes me think I am missing something.

  11. Hi there. I desperately need the following updates to be made in order to fully utilize Dext for my business. 1) I need Product/Service to be available in the Advanced search on the Cost inbox and archive. I need to be able to sort by Product/Service. 2) I need Product/Service to be an available column to view within my Cost inbox and archive. These two changes would be a world of a difference for my business. Right now, it's very frustrating to not have these features. Thank you very much!!

Please could you add additional fields for columns as per the below: I would like to add columns to the costs inbox and archive to display the following details: received into Dext date, published date and published by user name. It would also be useful to access a report showing the number of items submitted to Dext each day, the number published and the number of flagged items.

  14. I am currently scrolling through suppliers to merge duplicates. After each merge is completed it brings me back to the start of the supplier list alphabetically and it requires me scroll down to find where I was in the list each time. This is a time consuming exercise when there are over 1000 suppliers on the list.

  16. Include a variety of date formats to set a default from. For example, dd-mm-yy, yy-mm-dd, mm-dd-yy, yyyy-mm-dd, etc. OR dd/mm/yy, yy/mm/dd, mm/dd/yy, yyyy/mm/dd, etc. Currently, Dext can only sort by dd-mm-yyyy which is not helpful. A format of yyyy-mm-dd will sort by year, then month., then day.

  18. There are occasions when uploading an invoice that it turns out to be a duplicate but no message to that effect is received. It would be useful in every instance that there is a duplicate that a message popped up stating that. Also the short directions on how/where to locate the duplicate. It is a rare event so the user will need directions to locate the file.

It would be great and so much more productive if you could reduce the area around an invoice showing on the screen so we can see all of the invoice and not have to continually scroll for the invoice or the fields used. If you would like more details as I may not be clear please feel free to contact me.

  20. It would be nice if the calendar started on Sunday instead of Monday, like most calendars. If you're looking to select Tuesday, you might select Wednesday instead because of where it's sitting visually.
