  1. If you sort the approvals list by any header category and then open a specific line, when you hit the back button the sort is lost. You then have to re-sort the field again. It would be useful if the back button actually took you back to exactly where you were so you could just continue.

  2. We would like to be able to have a separate workflow for reimbursable and non-reimbursable expense reports because managers can approve purchases within their approval limits when made on their company VISA, but for reimbursable expenses everything needs to be approved by their manager because they are not allowed to approve payments to themselves.

  3. I would like there to be a field for notes when upload to dext through the Browser, by drag and drop or select files. This feature is available in the app and through email uploads, but i would like my clients to be able to give notes for better classification on the browser as well. It could be done as a feature that you can turn on or off for clients that need it vs those that don't.

  4. A very useful feature would be an option to view rejected items. A daily problem our bookkeepers have is having to repeatedly ask our clients to resend an invoice or receipt to which they have claimed they've already sent to dext, they get very unhappy and frustrated with us when we request multiple times. I understand that dext sends a rejection email but 90% of the time the client doesn't not pay attention to that email. It would solve a lot of problems if we could view the rejected item, then provide feedback to the client as to why it…

  5. We can currently select multiple items in the mobile app. However we are limited to add. To expense report or archive as the only actions for the selected items. Please add the option to merge the items together.

  7. When a statement is processed, the incorrect column can be picked up, especially the invoice reference number. Eg, the order number instead. Having a new feature to "map" the matching would be excellent.

  8. Being able to edit the taxes on the screen. So often clients mix items on bills that could have many different tax rate and using the create line items adds soooooo much time on to process I hate using it. Especially food related bills as some foods have GST and PST, some only GST and some exempt.

  9. Pull the shipping address to allow automation to assign a class to the transaction based on shipping address.

    We have multiple location utilizing the same service provider and this is the one step preventing me from fully automating many transactions

  10. We bulk bought licences and are transferring clients onto Dext. We have noticed that several of the bank accounts have disconnected as clients have not noticed they need refreshing. You can use 'insights' to see which clients have documents to process, it would be helpful to see a report there that gives the status of bank accounts so we can scroll down the list and just see whether any bank feeds need attention so it can be done before a total disconnect

  11. In the suppliers section could we please have an additional column in the overview view for description so we can set up a description from here without clicking in to the supplier individually?

  12. Allow for mileage tracking to work for companies in Portugal. We don't need any calculations, just the basic functionality of identifying the car being used, who is driving, the reason for the trip, and the distance traveled.

It would be really good if Supplier (and maybe Customers) had an extra text field, like the Description one, but unlike Description, wouldn't enter that text into each new document uploaded to that Supplier, and would just be a reference, visible at least under Suppliers, possibly also in individual invoices (maybe a hover-able word such as NOTES, which displays the notes when you hover your mouse, or an expandable one, or something like that.)

    Specifically in our case, we would like a way to keep track of information about specific companies, such as:

  14. Supplier Aliases has been released now but it would be brilliant if this was available for Customer Aliases. We have clients that use a specific invoicing system and there can be variations of the same limited company name. It would be a big help if Customer Aliases was available to avoid creating duplicate contacts.

  17. Enable client messaging for bank transactions.
    When an unidentifiable bank transaction appears on the bank feeds (such as a cheque payment) then it would be brilliant to be able to message the client via their app to ask what it was for, in the same way you can do for invoices.

Similar to existing requests for bank details, when an invoice is received from a new supplier, we should be able to add supplier details to that record to then sync to the end accounts integration. For example, adding an invoice from a new supplier should not be able to be processed until certain fields such as bank account details are added.

  20. Sort Categories that do not have a code in order of:
    - Current assets
    - Long-term assets
    - Current liabilities
    - Long-term liabilities
    - Equity
    - Income
    - Cost of sales
    - Expenses
    - Other income
    - Other expenses
    The gl is synced with QBO. My client will not add codes. I could be trying to code something to Interest and will have no idea whether the account that I'm looking at is interest income or interest expense without looking up in QuickBooks.
