They should simply not return you back to A each time - the app should remember exactly where you were and navigate you back to that every time you make a change. It should remember your search filters too - it's wild to me that this isn't already a thing.

Sorry this has taken so long to explore, we will look to add an option to suppress or make them not cover the view when working quickly. Thanks for the feedback.

I like seeing notifications, as I work with desktop software and items often fail - however in the new UI, they completely block the Business Settings menu item, so please move them somewhere else or move those menu items up. It's particularly bothersome because I'm going in and out of that "Business Settings" menu waaaay more often now that the Lists are all hidden away in there (I'd love a reversion of that change as well, it's very time-consuming to have two extra clicks and pageloads just to delete or rename a Payment Method that Dext auto-created on extract).
It would also be great if we could choose which notifications we see - I don't care if an item is in the process of publishing, or published successfully, as that's the expected behaviour - but I do want to know if something failed, so I can rectify it immediately.Maura Doherty supported this idea ·

Search should default to searching EVERYWHERE in Dext - both Inbox and Archive; both Costs and Sales. Provide quick one-click toggle "tags" to filter more narrowly, the same way you can filter the Supplier List to show only Suppliers with items in the archive

Yes! So often I just need to know if an invoice has already been uploaded to Dext, and having to search the Inbox and then the Archive is so tiresome.

Yes please! I don't want to delete old payment methods (eg. old credit cards) as they're part of the financial record, but they really clutter up the drop-down list. This is especially a problem with expense reimbursements, where Dext extracts a staffperson's personal credit/debit card, and it's helpful to keep that on file as tied to them, so that future mystery receipts can be more easily identified, but I end up having to name them "z.Name.PersonalCard" to try and keep them out of the way.

Yes please!! My clients are constantly filling out the Customer field with the same name as the Supplier field, and it's so time-consuming to have to manually remove it and uncheck the "Mark as rebillable" field for clients who never use it. We also don't use purchase order numbers, or Product/Services on the Costs side, so this clutters up both the main view and the Line Items view. Having these extra fields, in addition to not being able to set which fields are mandatory, makes it easier for my clients to miss filling out "Class" (a must for us), because they're used to leaving some fields blank, so they can't tell at a glance when they've finished entering details for a given transaction; they have to reread each field every time.

Please add what used to be a standard feature on any webpage: when clicking "Back" in a browser, or when processing a change that automatically redirects the user back to the previous page, go back to the exact location of the exact page I was looking at, instead of simply reloading the workspace anew. This is most annoying when doing things like: reviewing the suppliers list for duplicates, or making a series of changes to a selection of Items. For example: every time I merge or delete a supplier, or just click on a supplier and then click 'Back', the entire Supplier list refreshes from the top and clears any search parameters I had entered. What is already an annoying and time-consuming task (reviewing the Supplier list for "John Doe" and merging it into "Doe, John") takes 3x as long because I have to scroll-scroll-scroll and re-enter search filters for every single supplier change.
