Rejected Items folder
A very useful feature would be an option to view rejected items. A daily problem our bookkeepers have is having to repeatedly ask our clients to resend an invoice or receipt to which they have claimed they've already sent to dext, they get very unhappy and frustrated with us when we request multiple times. I understand that dext sends a rejection email but 90% of the time the client doesn't not pay attention to that email. It would solve a lot of problems if we could view the rejected item, then provide feedback to the client as to why it was rejected. Thank you.

I would add to expand this to all rejected items - not just those submitted by clients. Being able to see clearly what item was rejected would be such a time saver and most helpful. Currently, the email notifications that are sent do not provide any helpful information about the specific item rejected.

Recently I got an email saying my invoice upload to Dext was unsuccessful. there was an invoice name but it didn't match any invoices I had in my drive so I'm guessing the name the Dext extracted was incorrect. So as a result I couldn't find which invoices were unsuccessful. A good feature would be to show in the email the actual invoice image so that I can know which invoice it actually was. tx

Allow review of rejected items.
On the app it tells me when I've got rejected items, but the image is so small I cannot see who/where/when the invoice/receipt is from. I cannot find rejected items anywhere on the web service. If it is available, it's not very clear where! -

I often forward invoices/receipts to dext by email. Dext often thinks they are duplicates if they are the same value and rejects them. I don't know this has happened until I get an email from finance at the start of the month by which time everything else has been published so it takes ages to figure out which one is missing. This causes everyone more work.
Could the system put these in a folder highlighting them to be reviewed. I know that you can see them in submission history, but with no notification they have been rejected you don't know to look there. -

It would be extremely helpful to have a separate folder for bills that have been rejected or edited in the approval process, instead of simply sending the bills back into the Costs Inbox, where they blend in with every other entry there. Or, the ability to filter by rejected/edited bills would be helpful as well.

Yes. Having to ask the client to resend an item because Dext doesn't keep rejected items impedes our workflow and worsens the client experience. If we could at least review the rejected file, it would help us guide our clients better.

If i upload 20 reciepts and 3 dont work show me quickly which 3 didnt work or a way to chexk the 17 that did work without having to click on each one and waiting fo reach one to open to look at them. how do i know which 3 didnt upload

Show an clear and immediate error message (and send email notification to user) if there is an issue uploading a document. Ex. if file size is too big or uploading an unsupported file format (Excel, CSV, HEIF, etc.). Currently no notification given and no upload log error.

You have the option to review duplicate cost items, under this option one can manually review duplicates without them automatically being rejected (in some circumstances)
I have had a few cases where items are rejected incorrectly. I don't blame the system, it is a bot and frankly the human element in some circumstances can understand nuance that AI cannot. (Understanding both to be fallible nonetheless)
Please make the duplicate cost item review to be global. If an item is flagged it becomes the user's responsibility to proceed and items that are assumed to be uploaded are not lost. The manual review procedure is strong enough to make a bot-driven automatic dismissal absolutely redundant, and should encourage investigation - taking the concept of robot-error out of the equation.
Of course I understand why many would prefer to keep the automatic rejection option and that's fine - but I would appreciate the option of opting-out of all rejections - even if a scale was available. My frustration with finding missing receipts that have been entered and falsely flagged is starting to overwhelm any confidence I have in this product. -

If something is emailed directly to dext, and for whatever reason (file type or size for example) it is not accepted by Dext, we get no notification that an upload has been attempted and failed. As a result we have had to request our suppliers to email to our company AP address, and we have to drag and drop across to ensure our data is complete. Can we have a report of attempted and failed items sent to the dext emails with enough detail for us to identify the source?

An email Inbox. There are many mails that get forwarded to dexit from our office 365 that you do not seem to receive, It would be good to see a inbox that included junk/spam folders so that I can track down the problems of emails not reaching your system.

As the admin of my companies Dext account, I can see my own submission history but not anyone else's. When I send out a list of transactions I need invoices/receipts for, I am quite often told that the document has already been sent to Dext. A rejected folder for admin, containing all users docs, would be amazing.

This is critical! Dext rejects items regularly in our business. We have payables that do not come with an invoice number such as utility and propery tax bills and they get rejected without notification because they have the same date and amount.
As someone else wrote in, we ask our vendors to email their invoices through DEXT and it’s very unprofessional that we don’t have a copy and don’t pay it because DEXT rejects it. There are no emails received saying it was rejected.

Agree with Sascha's post on 24/08/2023 - Clients believe every upload is successful and our bookkeepers can't tell what transactions have been rejected whether the client uses PC or mobile App. A Rejected Items folder in Dext for each client would be much more helpful than filling up our email inbox please.

I agree with the idea to have quick access to Rejected Items. I can find them, and it is fine if they have gone to the correct supplier name but when they don't for whatever reason it can be hard to find the items.
Alternatively, it would help to be able to find items by the document name ie
invoice 0081736.pdf
This does not work in the search. -
