    I'd also like to see the same feature available for delivery dockets. I'd like to be able to combine Dext Prepare items for publishing as supporting documents, even if nothing needs to be extracted from them when publishing.

    In 10+ years of using Dext Prepare, I don't think we've ever had a client reply to a message on an item. After speaking to a tech-savvy client of 10+ years who uses the app heavily, he admitted he never even noticed the notifications. He went and had a look and said he found a message from a staff member who hasn't worked with us for at least five years.

    We need two things.

    1. Pop-up notifications when a user opens the app and has new messages. Maybe additional pop-up notifications would be helpful if they open the app again and haven't responded.

    2. E-mail notifications to clients that they have messages waiting in Dext Prepare, with a link to open the app on a mobile or open a browser on a PC to log in, review messages and reply.

    I completely agree. The Dext Prepare features for messaging is only half-baked. We can chat about items, but not about unreconciled bank transactions we don't know how to code. I'm amazed this feature doesn't have higher priority. The biggest battle of most bookkeepers is getting items and answers to questions around transactions.
