  1. We would like Dext to be able to function more like RAMP or BILL spend and expense from this standpoint: That the transactions hitting various bank and credit card accounts will display in a bank feed so the users are prompted to know which transactions they need to upload paperwork form. We would like to make this available to standard users, or at least create the ability for us to allow a users to see the bank feed WITHOUT giving them publishing rights. This way clients can be more proactive rather than waiting to receiving paperwork requests.

  2. Please remove the ability for expense approvers to see all documents within Dext.
We have several approvers of expense claims but have had to remove this function for our company, when we realised that these approvers could see all invoices/ receipts from all users. This means that they can see confidential invoices such as solicitors or accountants invoices, these should be seen on a need to know basis and not by a line manager of a small team. These approvers can also see the archive so even if you process the invoices quickly, they can still go and see them.…

  3. Is it possible within DEXT to allow an individual user to have access to one or two users' DEXT transactions instead of all users DEXT transactions? e.g. Mary having access to Tom's + Jane's transactions, but not Rory's.

  6. URGENT! I want my clients that are business owners to be user admins but not publish to the accounting software as our clients hit all kinds of buttons and mess things up. Previously they were “expense approvers” that could be selected to not publish. This is very important for myself and other dext users.

  7. When subscriptions are no longer in use under a multi-subscription organisation, there needs to be an option to hide inactive organisations from the drop down list. This would avoid confusion, and create a much more straight-forward display.
At the moment, our default organisation is an inactive one, so every time we log in we have to select the correct organisation from the drop down list. There needs to be an option to select one org. as the default org. that opens every time you log in.

  8. Where the accountant practice pays for the Dext subscription, for the practice to be able to change the account owner without sending an email to the client. Most of the time we use Dext internally with clients uploading, they do not use Dext so sending an email causes further confusion as we pay for it

  9. As we aim to encourage all employees to submit their claims through Dext, we’ve encountered a challenge: the lowest access level currently requires users to input extensive information, such as GL and Class. It would be beneficial to create a new user type specifically for claim submission, allowing users to submit claims without needing to see or enter these detailed accounting details. This would streamline the process and enhance user experience.

  11. I only just realized that an "Expense Approver" user can't see any of the Bank Feed info, or use any of the Request Paperwork functionality?? This would be a huge benefit to my clients (especially the ones who have their own company credit cards), but I don't want to make them all Admins just so they can have access to paperwork matching features, and I don't want to have to go through the Paperwork Match feature (which doesn't work that well) and figure out for them which things are missing when it would be way easier for them to know…

  13. Dext Prepare - Audit Trail Report by user for a date range
The goal is to see what actions an individual user has performed on Dext Prepare for a specific date range. This would be similar to the History by user report in Xero that shows the type of action (e.g. add item, edited item, archived/deleted item, published item) along with the date/time of the action and allow a link to the item to investigate further. This will allow us to investigate what a specific user is doing to identify training needs to improve their use of Dext Prepare.

  15. Allow the End User to determine whether a duplicate expense entry is correct or not. With the current set up, the End User is unable to get similar looking expenses into the system and it's quite frustrating needing to wait for the Admin to review and approve. First they must notify the Admin that they are having this issue, then the Admin needs to approve the duplicate item, at which point the End User needs to return to the app to complete the data entry. This process is extremely inefficient.

There can be two layers of review for duplicates if…

  19. Having different profiles for different users will help streamline the functionalities open to each user, this would ensure message would be catered whether it is end user or Subscription owner.

Have issues where payment failures are submitted to all Admins, however for this particular Partner, main issue is one of our clients have is that they need some users to have supplier rule management. While ideally we want all our customers to pay on time, however, this is flagged that there could be more curated profiles and a need for something like that within an organization.

    Another example is that…
