We are reviewing how to make this better, thanks for the feedback

Would it be possible to show from clients perspective in the app that a notification has been received with a number besides the bell as currently this is not viewable or clear when received.
Currently the only way this is viewable is if the client has Notifications turned on within the Dext app.

It would be good if the messaging was on the desktop version for the customer, not just the accountants version.
When the accountant sends me a message I have to answer on the app, even though i'm in front of my desktop.
It's also very hard to read on the app. -

This functionality is critical for our business. We have users who don't use the mobile app as they don't travel, but work in office and need to submit receipts they receive by email. They don't have a work phone and do not have the app downloaded on their personal phone which means they will not see the alerts.
At a minimum, an email notification should be sent to the client when they receive a message/paperwork request. Full messaging functionality within the web app would be a great addition!

I have several client who would like the option of viewing messages in their desktop version, not just the app. Please make this available to them!

I agree this feature needs to be added. We as accountants/bookkeepers can see these messages via the web so why can't our clients?
Also when we send the messages if the clients do not see the notification right away on their phone it disappears and the clients can never find it again. -

Have the messaging feature on computers as well as the app. Our business works best to process invoices in Dext on a computer, but unfortunately the messaging feature doesn't work for staff members.

Can we get communications on website rather than use mobile number

I was really disappointed to learn the messaging and paperwork request functions currently only work via mobile app notifications. Most of my clients (non-profit/charity/arts&culture sector) don't have work phones and don't want work apps on their personal phones. This means I can't take advantage of these features at all, which were a major selling point of the software for me (particularly paperwork request).

My primary client has an office manager whom I work with and she is responsible for communicating with the staff. The mobile app is not as efficient as the desktop version for the work the office manager does. It would be extremely helpful for not only this client, but future clients to allow a manager to access the "messages" tab in the desktop version just like I do.

I would like to be able to send a notification message to a user through the web, not just if they have the mobile-app.
