Insurance document fields
Add the ability for insurance documents to have a variable for sum insured. This is currently extracted and recorded in the document summary, but would be useful as its own value.

Email reminders based on document due dates
When a document due date is reached (or at a predetermined interval before or after that date), an email notification should be sent to the document creator, or another assigned user. Alternatively, if Dext was to extract the Primary Contact email address from Xero, these reminders could be sent automatically to the client or other assigned contact to request updated documents from them.

Automatically Flag Documents Based on Due Dates
The ability to automatically flag documents based on their set or extracted due date would be incredibly useful for managing document expiries, making it clear what needs action. This automatic flag could ideally be set on a value, such as +/- 7 days, or 1 month from the expiry, with these assigned values possibly being based on document tags.

Document Archive
Similar to the costs archive, it would be beneficial to have the option to archive documents (without deleting them), and to automatically archive older versions of a document. We would benefit from two immediate use-cases with this feature;
1. Being able to maintain records from a supplier/client who is no longer current who we still require records for, and
2. Enables iterations of documents with annual renewals (e.g. insurances) where a document can be replaced with a new version and the existing copy is archived.2 votes -
Add expiry date as a separate value to due date
It would be beneficial to assign multiple dates to a document. Having an expiry date (as extracted from a document), and a separate due date (for when the task needs to be completed/updated by) would give more control over the workflow and documents. For example, an expired document should be updated by no later than 1 week after expiry.

User Permissions
Be able to add users to the Dext account with Vault access only. We have an internal contract administrator who would be using Vault for managing contractor insurances etc, who doesn't need access to other parts of Dext.

Custom Extraction Field for Invoices and Statements
Ability to create a custom extraction field (or column for statements) on specific suppliers' invoice/statement (e.g. a delivery location detailed on an invoice if a single supplier delivers to multiple sites, or a delivery location column on a supplier statement).

New tax setting that Post PST as Zero in QBO
Oct tax settings update: The taxes are not working in all clients. Because we are in BC Canada I have my clients set up for two taxes. I think that the default tax setting for cost on GST/PST. Several invoices only have GST charged on them and the now the PST is processed into QBO with zero tax. In the past on extract tax it would extract the GST and mark the bill as GST only in QBO. Now it looks correct in Dext but when it is entered into QBO the tax code is GST/PST with zero in the…

Modify the 'Reference' field in Dext to only allow up to 18 characters. Paying expenses in Xero the Reference field can only be a max of 18
Paying expenses in Xero the Reference field can only be a max of 18 characters to align with bank reference field, otherwise you have to manually change Reference field to fit. Could this field be modified.

Person posting from QBO
The person logged in to Dext should be the same one as the person publishing to QBO. It makes it easier to know who did the work.

Improvement of the 'Multi-Account' feature: Keep history logs (items submitted by/amended by) in the account that is being merged
Currently when two logins are merged, the one that gets deleted is anonymised in all history logs. Everything that user edited /amended on any item in the past shows as "done by Dext Prepare". After the merge, we lost all this audit trail and all the history is now anonymised. This is very inconvenient and could cause issues when trying to track who booked which item to which account etc.

Reorganizing the Details tab to show matchs
I would like to suggest on the item details tab that you move the notification that there is a match higher up on the screen. It is out of view until I scroll down on the page. I generally work from the top to the bottom and it is frustrating when I see there is a match after populating the details. This would be really helpful I think

A recycle bin that allows user to see erased documents for 30 days after deleting document.

Year end dates in settings
Be able to set business year end in business settings as i.e. 31 March and be able to link to say those dates are what should be used for tax year 23/24 etc as can't change on SA301F summary report (and can't change dates unlike on transaction summary)

Approvals Exceptions
Be able to Turn approvals off for a specific user by having an exceptions heading under the Apply to heading so you have a choice of either applying the rule to specific criteria or setting specific criteria to be exempt from the rule.

Class & Location
We have been using Dext for over a year, and have just recently realized that in the Costs section, if you type in the Class & Location, it does not carry over into the Edit Line items area. This has caused a huge headache for our Controller, as I didn't know this would auto-populate different location information than what was entered.

Notification settings to move from daily to monthly for certain users so they are not receiving notifications all the time.
Can you add a user with the default to no notifications? I have executives to add as users and they don’t want 300 emails a day. They also don’t want to opt-out, so why can’t you choose on/off when you set the user up?

Hide Inactive Organisations from Drop down list
When subscriptions are no longer in use under a multi-subscription organisation, there needs to be an option to hide inactive organisations from the drop down list. This would avoid confusion, and create a much more straight-forward display.
At the moment, our default organisation is an inactive one, so every time we log in we have to select the correct organisation from the drop down list. There needs to be an option to select one org. as the default org. that opens every time you log in.2 votes -
UI - Non-functioning/not required scroll bars
File navigation has non-functioning scroll bars. They may be required for longer file paths, but shouldn't be present when all information is visible on screen.
