  1. I am currently working with a clients who has a large amount of invoices. One feature I think would be fantastic would be the ability for them to drag and drop emails into a folder in their gmail that automatically sends to dext. Unfortunately, auto forwarding isn't suitable as it forwards all of their discourse with their suppliers, fulfilment partners etc. Therefore, we end up with 1,000's of items in dext that are just email conversations.
    This would be super useful and very easy to explain to a client of any size.

  4. I would send email notifications to users when they are assigned as the Document Owner in Dext Prepare. This would then bring to their attention they have something they need to action / review in Dext.

  5. Hi Can something be set up to allow individual payment methods to be linked to a particular credit card using Xero integration.

    Multiple company credit cards have been set up as individual payment methods, however they can't be linked using dext (unless I'm not doing this properly).

    Whereas; I can set the payment method default for my own user (only person using dext) as any one of the credit cards but can't set them up as separate payment methods.

    eg: 3 wholesalers I use, one of them I use visa (lower fees) and the other I use the company amex…

  8. I am copying the URL address of certain items and placing them in a spreadsheet, I would like these to load the actual item. Sometime this work sometimes not, I suspect it depends on whether I create the link before or after it is published/archived.

    My workflow is that I am creating a crosscharge cost to send to another company made up of select cost items that are in other expense sheets. This seems the most efficient way to do this.

  9. We get a lot of purchase orders from customers that need to be entered into quickbooks as sales invoices, and Dext is not able to properly pull everything from the pdf purchase order.

    1: Doesn't detect ship date. The ship date on the purchase order should automatically be entered as invoice date and ship date when published to QBO.

    2: It doesn't automatically detect all products/sku's in the purchase order

    3: It needs to automatically add the customer name, address, PH number, and email, if the customer doesn't exist in QBO

  10. Admin users get notified when a basic user uploads items - it would be ideal for the person who is allowed to publish items to be notified by email when someone else has uploaded a cost.

  13. Add a column on the colleagues tab to show employee certification status. This ensures practices would be able to track whether an employee has completed their certification, highlighting those that have not. This will enable practices to better chase staff to complete their certification.

    In addition, I would also suggest adding an export function for this list which includes the following: first name, last name, email address, linked to account, privilege level, location, status (i.e. certified or non-certified), date of certification obtained and expiry date.

    I have a request to change back the client selection process. Not sure why you changed the pop-out screen to select a client. We at Quick Action Accounting liked it better the way it was. The current method adds another step to our process. Not a fan! Love Dext just not the latest update. Thanks for listening.

  16. I am writing to bring to your attention an issue we are currently facing with our document upload process. Specifically, we have observed that there is no batch number assigned to either bulk uploads or single uploads. As a result, we are unable to flag invoices or add important notes (such as payment status or cost type) to facilitate their processing.

    This lack of functionality has made it challenging for us to efficiently process invoices from our inbox. Since not all invoices contain relevant flags or comments, our team members find it difficult to quickly identify and prioritize tasks.

  17. Auto-backup creates files in dropbox before things have been published. This means that if something is detected with "Unknown Supplier" then it gets backed up with that in the file name, even though I've manually assigned a supplier before the item was published. So either the backup needs to be updated when a change is made to an item, or dext should wait until something is published before making the backup in dropbox.

  20. I think you should add a feature that shows the total amount of the invoices you have selected. For example, you "select" 3-4 invoices, at the top of the page it would show "3 Invoices, £453.23". A dyanmic toggle that would be useful when tallying up invoices to push through to match payments in Xero.

    Xero have this functionality in bills to pay as a reference point.
