Bank match icon in app
The ability to see bank matches in the mobile app like many other competitors do. Makes it easier to request approval on the fly with our dispatching team. This has been requested by our entire field operations team. We’d love to see it come to life.

It would be helpful to be able to order the approval workflow ie, define rule should be applied first - last.

Would it be possible for Dext solo to archive both the bank and the cost invoice at the same time if matched?

When Paperwork is "Unavailable", set the category to personal
When a client says, following a "Request for Paperwork", that the Paperwork is "Unavailable", then the category should automatically be set to "Personal" (and a warning could be given to the client to this effect).

Don't add Dext history PDF in QBO when splitting items
Dext is now adding a PDF of the item history to items published to QBO, along with the receipt. There’s no reason I would ever want that extra PDF, and the client and accountant reviewing the item wouldn't either. It would actually confuse some of them. Plus, many clients use payment platforms to pay their bills, where the platform attaches all images from the bill into the platform. No one wants to see that history PDF there either. I think Dext should either stop this from happening, or at least allow us the option to turn it off. Stopping it…

Solo - Rental property filter on tax report if multiple properties
It would be handy to filter each property on the tax report. This is currently available on Transaction summary but shows all categories and if using rental statements, will show the costs separate to other expenses incurred.

Ignore Payment confirmations
For a lot of our clients, the payment confirmation from Ignition gets published to Dext along with the Invoice. It would be useful to add a feature which ignores the payment confirmation, like the one attached. Other providers have already solved this issue.

Toggle Customers Showing in Dext
The ability to toggle customers on and off to show in Dext just like categories. When employees are entering receipts we don't want them to see the entire customer list.

Allow publishing of bill payments
Allow publishing of bill payments
Currently we can publish vendor bills to our accounting software. However when Dext receives a payment receipt for an existing bill, there is no mechanism to publish the payment and mark the bill as paid.1 vote -
Offline mode for expense claims and expenses
Hi Dext team,
I would like to suggest a few improvements based on real field usage.
Many users complete expense reports during “dead time” such as flights, trains, airports, hotels, or areas with unstable internet access. It would therefore be extremely useful to have a true offline mode allowing users to:
- access existing reports,
- create/edit expenses,
- attach receipts,
- and synchronize everything automatically once back online.Expense reporting is already time-consuming, so being able to optimize these moments would significantly improve the user experience.
A few additional ideas:
- easier multi-day trip grouping,
- smarter mileage detection,…1 vote -
Review duplicates on Expense Claims
The “Review Duplicates” feature is currently restricted to users with admin permissions. In cases where internal employees use Dext solely to manage their own expenses and are restricted from accessing wider company data, they are unable to review duplicates despite needing this functionality.
It would be beneficial to either add “Review Duplicates” as a separate permission toggle, or include it within the standard user role permissions by default.2 votes -

Date selection for bank feed
For MTD we need to upload bank feeds from specific dates, when linking bank, can we select the date we want the bank feed to upload into Dext. For many clients who are now subject to MTD, when linked, we get 2 years of historical transactions. This is not correct as the data should not be visible and nothing we can do about it. There may be a breach of data...

Pull In Matched Purchase Order Details
When a QuickBooks Online (QBO) purchase order is matched with a bill in Dext, the link is successfully added back into QBO. However, none of the purchase order details are carried over into Dext.
As a result, we still need to manually open the purchase order in QBO to confirm key information such as the associated customer/project and the product/service codes.
It would be very helpful if Dext could pull in this information directly from the matched purchase order, since the link between the two already exists. This would streamline the review process and reduce the need for manual cross-referencing.

Client Comments VS AI Auto Apply
Currently if you have AI auto apply description turned on and the client adds a comment while uploading the receipt their comment is deleted.
Would be great if there was another box where the client comment remains but we can still have the auto AI description turned on.

Display the currency of a supplier as set up in QBO
QBO suppliers can only have one currency, and unless we edit the supplier name there is no way to identify what currency the supplier is set up as in Dext. If the transaction currency chosen doesn't match the supplier currency, QBO will do an automatic conversion when it publishes which then requires manual fixing.
If Dext would just display this currency (and also identify if a different one is chosen!) it would reduce the currency errors.
Setting a supplier rule doesn't totally fix it given the currency can be over-written, and often we will have multiple versions of a supplier…
