Reject Invoices - Seperate Section
Please have a seperate section where the reject invoices are stored. Now, the rejected invoices come to the inbox. It would be good if there is different section for rejected invoices to be in, from where you could request approval for them.

Include expense date on the line items in an Expense Claim sent to QBO
I would like to be able to include the date an expense was incurred when I publish Expense Claims to QBO. This is especially important at quarter and year-end when I need to ensure that expenses are captured in the correct accounting period for filing GST/HST returns.

Holding Zone for Supplier Statements Before Extraction
Could you consider adding a holding zone (a kind of "purgatory" area) within the Supplier Statements section for incoming statements to be reviewed before extraction or archiving?
They could then facilitate the use of a dedicated email address (e.g., company@statementholdingzone.dext.cc) for receiving supplier statements. From this holding area, the accountant could then choose to:
• Send to archive – for simple statements such as single-payment summaries, or
• Send for extraction – for multi-invoice statements that need matching. This would not only improve workflow and accuracy but also address the issue of statement email allocation and the additional processing…

Default or Priority Contact for Paperwork Requests
Is it possible to categorise users within an account by hierarchy or priority? When requesting paperwork, it would be really useful if Dext automatically selected the primary contact (for example, the main client) by default.
Currently, the system seems to classify contacts alphabetically or by username, which can result in the wrong person being selected when multiple users are linked to the same account. Being able to mark one user as the default recipient for paperwork requests would help avoid accidental sends and improve accuracy.

Supplier default sync
The ability to sync supplier defaults (in particular default 'categories') from DEXT to Quickbooks online (and Sage, Xero etc) would be a very useful tool as it would avoid having the update the default codes on 2 different systems.

PO Matching auto set Customer & Product/Service
We know that PO matching works, however it doesn't set the customer and Product/Service as seen on the PO in QuickBooks Online. Is this something that will be addressed?

Mobile App Approvals to have the assigned to me tab
On the mobile app, it would be very helpful to have two tabs for the "assigned to me" and the "all items" as you see on the web version. Currently there is nothing that easily shows who the next approver is in the mobile app. Additionally, notifications on the mobile app when new invoices need approved.

Expense Claim - Automatically send email to finance to process payment
Currently, once the HOD has approved the claim, the HOD needs to export and email the claim to finance to process. Good if we can set a function that presets finance email address so once the claim is approved, an export of the report and receipts are sent to finance for processing

Supplier Statement Settlements
Suggestion:
Add an option in Supplier Statement Settlements for Dext to recognise invoices that are currently in Draft status in Xero.Details:
When reconciling supplier statements, Dext currently identifies only Approved invoices in Xero. However, many users (including us) upload or sync supplier invoices to Xero as Drafts first, pending review or approval. Because these draft invoices are not recognised, Dext incorrectly reports them as missing, even though they are already present in Xero.Proposed Improvement:
Introduce a setting or toggle that allows Dext to include Draft invoices when matching supplier statements to Xero records. This would:Reduce manual checks…

Export cost table with payment date
Currently it is possible to export cost invoices in a Custom CSV Export.
However, it is not possible to add the payment date to this table once the cost has been matched with a payment.
It should be an option to add a column to the Custom CSV Export for the payment date.

Recently accessed organizations in Search bar
It might be a great improvement if Dext could include recently accessed organizations in the search panel in a future update. This would make it easier to reopen organizations you’ve just worked on without having to search for them again.
Hopefully, that’s something they consider in the next upgrade!1 vote -
Bank transactions from Excel
Currently Dext only allows bank statements to be in pdf. However, some banks don't offer bank statements but allow downloading of transactions in Excel or XML format. I would like to be able to upload these into bank transactions but currently Dext only allows uploading of pdf documents.

AI suggest line item categories
Automatically suggest accounts based on line items.
For example - A pet shop wants to track expenses per department. You create either purchase expense codes in QB or Xero, or tracking categories and tell Dext if you want it to suggest account or tracking. It then looks for things in the line items and suggests the most relevant code/tracking for each one... For example, "dog food" will allocate to "dog" tracking.
Or a builder, for wood purchased, to suggest "materials" as the expense.
Relevant to the business type chosen (retail, construction, etc)

notifications when team members are not approving purchases or doing actions in a certain timeframe
the ability to notify team leaders or managers if team members are not actioning things sitting for a team awaiting payment. Gives them the option to re assign to a new employee or understand the employee who isn't doing the right thing
