  1. Love the supplier statement but it never matches my credit invoices despite them being in dext. It is searching for the positive value and not the credit value even if the statement shows them as a credit amount.

  2. On invoice rejections, have an option similar to the supplier statements to request a revision or resubmission. Having this in dext and the ability to send it to any email address for your contact would allow us to confirm that when an item is rejected it was requested to be corrected on a certain date, and sent to a certain user. This way when a vendor comes looking for payment we have all the details with the rejection and the vendor can attach the revision right to the original to be approved again.

Could also be applied to needed supplementary…

  3. On the duplicate review screen we can see the two invoices, but now that approvals are available in Dext, there is no way for the reviewer to see if the original was rejected and what the rejection reason was to ensure whatever criteria was fixed. If for instance, an invoice was rejected because it was missing information or a PO number, there is currently no flag on that review page to indicate that the original was rejected so when it is confirmed that it is the same invoice, the new submission is also now attached and automatically archived and never…

  4. In the expense claim submission process, can you add a step that adds digital signatures to the PDF coversheet?

By virtue of the employee submitting the claim, I would like that to add their digital signature to the cover sheet, then when the manager approves it should add their signature. So when the expense claim is approved and finalized, the PDF export shows a signed coversheet.

Also, if an expense claim gets sent back to the employee for further edits, their original signature is removed and is blank until the correct edits have been made.

  5. When creating a new supplier in Dext for the Zoho books integration, the VAT status needs to be set before you can publish a bill. This is because the supplier has to have a tax status applied before it will accept an bills from Dext.

Currently, I have to click publish, which creates an error in dext but still creates a supplier, then go into zoho > vendors > set the VAT status/scheme and then go back to dext so it accepts the bill.

  8. There is no motorbike option for the mileage feature.
We have car and van. But we should have other vehicles regularly used.

  9. In the current Statement Reconciliation feature, Dext matches invoices from the supplier statement with invoices pulled from Xero. While it checks for missing or unmatched invoices, it does not compare the invoice amount from the statement against the actual amount of the corresponding invoice in Xero (shown in the "Due" column).

This becomes a challenge when there's a variance in the amounts—for example:

    - A revised invoice was issued by the supplier, but the statement reflects the old amount.

    - The invoice in Xero shows $1,100, but the statement lists $1,000 (or vice versa).

Currently, the system only shows the…

  10. Currently, the Bank Match feature in Dext only allows matching when the invoice amount and the bank transaction amount are exactly the same. However, in real-world scenarios, this isn’t always the case. For example:

An invoice is for $1,000, but the bank feed shows $1,050 due to a credit card surcharge.

An invoice is for $1,000, but the bank feed shows $950 because the supplier offered a discount at the time of payment.

In both these cases, the match is still valid — it's just that the final payment amount differs slightly from the invoice total. It would be extremely…

  11. There is no option to publish to a debit card or an expense. This is a huge flaw. Most people, especially small business owners use debit cards to make purchases, not credit cards. When trying to publish a receipt to have it generate into QBO, there was no correct option for me to choose. Choosing bill created a bill form which is not right. It needs to create an expense form in QBO. Most receipts if not all, are for immediately charged purchases. Choosing one of the other "paid" options rendered the service useless to me as I would then…

  12. Please allow a user to add an NEW items to an Expense Claim directly from the mobile app without going through Costs. A user has an expense receipt in their hand at point of payment, so why not allow them to choose the Expense Claim to assign it to via the mobile APP before submission. It makes no sense to put it in the Costs Inbox first and then have to move it. Just let the user specify that it's an Expense Claim in the App!

  13. It would be really helpful to have the option to attach fuel receipts to mileage expense claims. This is mainly for VAT purposes—HMRC requires fuel receipts as evidence when reclaiming VAT on mileage, so being able to upload or link them directly to the mileage claim would make things much easier.

Right now, you cannot attach fuel receipts as a back up for the VAT reclaim. You can only add it as a separate line with the full receipt value and then adjust it once it has been processed into the accounting software. As this is not very convenient, we…

  14. Create a % split rule for Personal and Business use where you can decide to discard the Personal amount so only the business % is now the total GBP amount published.

For example you can say mobile supplier is 70% business split so only 70% of the cost is processed as business use.

Workaround: manual edit the total amount.

  15. The mileage isn't useful for my business at all. As we do field work for multiple clients using a company car, I don't need to claim mileage: I need to be able to assign all of our trips to different clients. Then at the end of the month, export the trips and totals per client for billing. Any chance we could get that? We were recommended Dext by another similar company but they said they never use mileage for that reason. I love the functionality of Everlance with the auto-track, tags, and reporting, but it doesn't support multiple users linked…

  16. If you sort the approvals list by any header category and then open a specific line, when you hit the back button the sort is lost. You then have to re-sort the field again. It would be useful if the back button actually took you back to exactly where you were so you could just continue.

  17. We often had clients submitting lots of documents using the single upload, when infact they should have used the multiple one.

Currently we need to download the PDF (with multiple bills), archive it, then reupload again. If you have to do this for lots of items, its tedious and you need to be careful you don't miss any reuploads. It would be great to simply have a button that will resubmit the document for upload, but as multiple.

  19. Can you please add the ability to change the date of an expense report? We use express expense reports and want to periodically process expense reports more frequently if there is a large expense. When it publishes to QBO, it publishes using the last date of the month and then it doesn't appear on our payables listing since the report is generated prior to the end of the month. It would be very helpful if that date could be changed more easily rather than having to create a new expense report and move the items.
