  1. Hi, we would like to be able to do sales imports by journal entry rather than sales invoice. We are in the hospitality industry and have little to no receivables so we post our sales via journal entry to make sure all funds were collected. We are using Quickbooks Desktop.

  2. Adding supplier to approval workflow needs simplfying - when new supplier has to be added to an exisitng workflow, why does everything go back in to costs workspace to then be re-added to approval workflow - very clunky

  4. Using the new version is there a way I can instantly see the assigned manager on the main Users page (maybe the ability to add a column for this) without going into each individual user? We used to be able to see this in the My Team page on the old version next to the user privileges.

  5. Our accounting company uses Dext and our staff are responsible for adjusting the fields. There should be a way for our accounting company to rename or flag the specific fields that they want us to double-check under Item Details. There are a lot of fields there and many of them don't pertain to us. I want some visual flag for our staff as to which ones we have to edit. Even just renaming "Category" to "Category >" would be beneficial. According to the AI chat bot, this isn't possible.

  6. Since DEXT is all about the ease of uploading photos of receipts, I would like to request that photos of bank statements for the extraction tool be an option. I am currently having to print the photos the client has uploaded, scan them, and then upload the scanned documents for extraction. In doing this, the quality of the photo is lost, and then the document often gets rejected.

  7. Can you please add a symbol to denote if a user who uploaded the document via mobile specifically picked a category? Currently if Dext makes a category suggestion, there is a symbol beside the category name. It would be nice if there was a symbol to show if the category was entered because of the supplier rule or because the mobile user specifically chose it. Thanks!

  10. We would like to be able to add PO numbers before publishing. Businesses use this system even if the invoice does not have a PO - clients will add one by hand.

  12. We do not use Po #s, Product/Service or Customer details and would like the option to have them removed as it takes me longer to complete the fields we do use because these are all showing and are blank so it makes me think I am missing something.

  13. Is Solo going to be able to cope with Capital Allowances ? Say the purchase of a van, with a trade-in of a car, some cash deposit, some finance, and then private use adjustment ?

  14. Be able to add projects from the mobile app at the same time as adding a new receipt in case we forgot. Either that or add a choice of "add new project" in zapier to integrate with our existing time tracking app

    1. Have a setting to default all sales invoices to a particular category.
    2. Also allow a setting to auto-populate all new customer names, as all new customer names are only suggested currently.

    This would then allow us to autopublish all our sales invoices via dext directly to our accounts system without having to log into dext to carry out both of these tasks daily.

  15. We currently use ApprovalMax for approvals - bills publish from Dext to Xero as "Awaiting Approval" which are then automatically loaded to ApprovalMax for the approvals process. Switching to Dext approvals would be amazing however there doesn't seem to be a way to have the bill publish to Xero until after the approvals process is complete. Please could this be considered as an idea

  16. In the workflow, we need to be able to select a cost account, but perhaps exclude some suppliers as these should go for approval to someone else.
    The ideal exclusion should be allowed by selecting the supplier account specifically.
    Otherwise, there should be a way to select all suppliers and manually deselect the ones to exclude. This does not seem possible at the moment.

It would be great and so much more productive if you could reduce the area around an invoice showing on the screen so we can see all of the invoice and not have to continually scroll for the invoice or the fields used. If you would like more details as I may not be clear please feel free to contact me.

Please could you add additional fields for columns as per the below: I would like to add columns to the costs inbox and archive to display the following details: received into Dext date, published date and published by user name. It would also be useful to access a report showing the number of items submitted to Dext each day, the number published and the number of flagged items.

As we aim to encourage all employees to submit their claims through Dext, we’ve encountered a challenge: the lowest access level currently requires users to input extensive information, such as GL and Class. It would be beneficial to create a new user type specifically for claim submission, allowing users to submit claims without needing to see or enter these detailed accounting details. This would streamline the process and enhance user experience.
